East Lake Golf Club is a private golf club that has hosted the TOUR Championship 22 times since 1998 along with a plethora of other amateur and professional tournaments according to its website. The private club was established in 1904 and is Atlanta’s oldest course. It was also the home course where legendary golfer Bobby Jones learned to play golf.
Most recently it hosted the 2024 TOUR Championship but not before undergoing a renovation, causing players to come up with plans to take advantage of the new course layout by hitting into other fairways intentionally. The PGA Tour immediately stepped in to address those issues before the first round began on August 29.
Many of the top players in the world have played in this prestigious country club including Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Justin Thomas, Tony Finau and more.
Membership initiation fees are rumored to be just over $100,000.
