After rains, you'll find water collecting in basins on the rock. A tough hedgehog cactus was even able to root and grow in the residual soil that gathered there. The Palmer family use to carry water to some ofthe smaller basins and use it as a bathtub.

Hand-made walls are found on the property where KT channeled some of the water runoff.

Mother nature did an admirable job in crafting this dramatic land.

Cliff ledges were the favorite place for K.T. Palmer, who had a picnic table near this site where he prepared food and enjoyed the view.

Site of the hogan and a nice building area! Palmer hired a Chinle Navajo to construct an authentic hogan, when they used for years. It was showing its age and was later removed for safety. Horses are ok for the property and perhaps this would make a super place for a small stables.

Rare photo of the hogan on the property. As was traditional, the door faced east and the roof was open so you could have fires inside. It later was used just for storage and then fell into disrepair. The Navajos wouldn't sleep in it as they siad it had not "been property blessed."

There are several large and flat cleared areas on the Southwest part of the property, near where the hogan was constructed. it was as a popular gathering area for Palmer and all his guests who would come out and visit them on Sundays, to enjoy the trip and unspoiled desert. Horses are ok and this could perhaps be a place for a stable or barn?
